Abstract

The study is an archontology and biography paper dealing with the emergence of the new aristocracy in the early Modern Age Hungary. It depicts the life of officer Wolfgang Mórócz, his family and social background, relations, development of his economic situation as well as his successful career as an officer, which elevated his family up to the ranks of the then aristocratic elites.
