Abstract

The article deals with the correspondence of Marie Magdalena Hanková, a woman born at 1781 in an artisan’s family. It explores her writing abilities to characterize the correspondence culture of an artisan woman. Further it deals with her relationship to other family members and in this way researches her life roles – a daughter, a sister and a sister-in-law.
